Walter Quintin Gresham was a soldier and statesman. Gresham was a major general
in the Union Army during the Civil War. Gresham served as U.S. Postmaster
General from 1883-1884, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury in 1884, and U.S.
Secretary of State from 1893-1895.
