This Liberty ship was named for Dunham Wright (1842-1942). Dunham Wright was a pioneer of the Oregon Territory. Wright settled in Union County, Oregon in 1865 and founded the Medical Springs Resort there. Wright was also a cousin of Abraham Lincoln.
