for Edwin T. Meredith (1876-1928). Edwin Thomas Meredith was a journalist, publisher, and government official. Meredith founded the Meredith Company and the magazine Better Homes and Gardens. Meredith served as the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture from 1920-1921.
