for Benjamin H. Hill (1823-1882).
Benjamin Harvey Hill was a lawyer and politician from Georgia. During the Civil
War Hill served as Confederate States Senator from Georgia from 1862-1865.
During and after Reconstruction Hill served as a Member of the U.S. House of
Representatives from 1875-1877, and as U.S. Senator from Georgia from
1877-1882.
