for Button Gwinnett (1735-1777).
Button Gwinnett was a British-born merchant, planter, politician, and Founding
Father of the United States. Gwinnett was a Georgia delegate to the Continental
Congress and signed the Declaration of Independence. Gwinnett served as
Governor of Georgia in 1777 before being killed in a duel in May 1777.
