Cause Comments
Crew loaded sulfuric acid into tank system designed for petroleum. This lead the acid to eat away at components and for the vessel to flood. The Master feared it might sink or explode due to a build up of hydrogen gas. He got the vessel underway and brought it out into the harbor where it sank from incursions created by the sulfuric acid.
