This Liberty ship was named for Brockholst Livingston (1757-1823). Henry Brockholst Livingston was a soldier and jurist. Livingston served as an officer in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. He was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court from 1806-1823.
