Historical Narrative

This Liberty ship was named for Anne Hutchinson (1591-1643). Anne Hutchinson was an early religious liberal in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Hutchinson clashed with the Puritan leadership who then banished her from the colony. She and many members of her family were massacred by Siwanoy Indians in the present day New York City borough of the Bronx.

There is no written history for the Liberty ship Anne Hutchinson at this time.
